Project Funds

EU Tempus Program

This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. The EU Tempus program supports the modernization of higher education in the partner countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Western Balkans, and the Mediterranean region mainly through university cooperation projects.

The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency

The EACEA is responsible for the management of the Tempus Program. In general EACEA is responsible for the management of certain parts of the EU’s programs in the fields of education, culture, and audiovisual. Fully operational from the 1st of January 2006, the Executive Agency operates under supervision from its three parent Directorates-General of the European Commission: Education and Culture (DG EAC), Communication (DG COMM), and EuropeAid Development and Cooperation (DG DEVCO).

Quality Control

Since 2001, a complete strategy has been launched for the institutional accreditation in the University of Alicante (UA) by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ANECA). UA has a quality unit and an efficient system of innovation support measures in place, including units such as research promotion and technological transfer office, international projects offices, and innovation unit. The University has extensive experience in managing and implementing international projects in quality assurance (FP6, FP7, CIP, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink, etc.) in numerous countries, inter alia: Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Morocco, Libya, Serbia, Macedonia,Bosnia, and Herzegovina.

We believe that each project carries its own characteristic; therefore, an ad hoc quality plan will be designed and applied to Pro-Green activities. As the work package leader in quality control of the project, UA will continuously monitor project activities and outcomes, have internal quality control expert involved, and provide constructive feedback to the coordinator. Evaluation will be conducted through surveys and face-to-face communication during consortium meetings. In addition, project outputs and outcomes will be compared with the project plan and work calendar.
