Pro-Green Students’ Technical Training Trip to Italy and Sweden

 

A group of 12 Pro-Green students took part in a 14-day technical training trip to Italy and Sweden from February 7-22, 2016. The training involved trips to several PV plants, labs, and wind farms across several locations in Italy, and the cities of Malmo and Lund in Sweden. The trip according to their feedback was an enriching experience in both knowledge and companionship. The trip involved visits to Montalo Di Castro PV installations, Archimede CSP plant in PrioloGargallo, Monte Mele wind farm, Lund University, Malmo Western Harbor, and Passivhouse Villa Circuitus.

 

                         

 

Pro-Green and Energy Studies Students’ Technical Training Trip to the UAE

 

The second technical trip organized by the Masri Institute was planned for the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which is one of the leading countries in sustainability, able to provide students the opportunity to view developments first hand in the Middle East. A group of 15 students from the Pro-Green program and AUB Energy Studies program under the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, 3 faculty, and 2 Pro-Green program ambassadors took part in a 5-day technical training trip in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from March 3-7, 2018. The technical training involved trips to the renewable sustainable cities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi including Shams 1 Solar Farm, Masdar Solar Plant, Masdar City, Sustainable City, Makhtoum Solar Park and the Middle East Electricity Conference.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pro-Green and Energy Studies Students’ Technical Training Trip to Jordan

 

The third technical training trip organized by the Masri Institute, Green Technologies Program, and Energy Studies Program at the American University of Beitrut (AUB), with the University of Jordan, was planned for Jordan, one of the countries in the Middle East with a large potential of generating power from renewable energy. This trip was a rich and rewarding experience which provided the delegation the opportunity of a hands on approach at the different energy sites. A group of 10 students from the Pro-Green program and AUB Energy Studies program under the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, along with 3 AUB faculty, and 1 trip coordinator took part in the 5-day technical trip to Amman, Al Rajif, Petra, Ma’an, and Tafila from March 2-6, 2019. The technical training trip involved site visits to Al Zaytoonah University, Car Park at Al Quds College, Philadelphia Solar Factory, Ma’an Development Area, and two wind farms: Al Rajef and Tafila.
